Sunnycroft Estate
Sunnycroft Estate is a Rubber Plantation, and located in Sabaragamuwa Province in Sri Lanka.
The estimated terrain elevation above sea level is129 meters, classifying it as a part of the low country elevation category which influences both types of crops (Rubber and Tea0 grown and their yield potential.
The estate experiences a typical climate with an annual rainfall of 5.999.3mm.
Being one of the Pioneer Rubber Plantation in the country, the records of when planting commenced are precisely not available. Presently covering 391.42 ha. of Rubber , yielding 460kgs. per hectare, and producing 252,000kgs, annually.
The Rubber Factory was built in 1885 is also engineered to accommodate not only the crop of Sunnycroft, but of Moralioya, and Vincit Estates as well, managed by Malwatte Valley Plantations PLC I carries a prestigious selling mark as “SUNNYCROFT”
Sunnycroft has diversified its agricultural output by cultivating Cinnamon with 182.82Ha. Dedicated to the spice, of this extent currently 93.16 Ha is being harvested. The estate has received significant certification to ensure the quality at the Production including:
