Company Background

Recognized as one of Sri Lanka’s key exporters of tea, rubber and spices, the majority of our produce is handpicked in our own plantations spanning over 7,000 hectares. All produce is processed, packaged and exported from our own factories, delivering an exceptional level of quality, customisation options and price control.

Established in 1992, Malwatte Valley operates

In addition to growing our own produce, Malwatte Valley also partners with numerous farming communities in remote areas of Sri Lanka, purchasing their produce and empowering them with knowledge

In 2016, the International Pepper Community recognised Malwatte Valley as Sri Lanka’s largest grower of pepper. Every ounce of Malwatte Valley spices, tea & rubber is testament to our values of sustainability, empowerment and quality – lived out by thousands of our hardworking partners.

Its real estate portfolio comprises amongst others of an office complex in the heart of Colombo city, a large state of the art warehousing complex just outside Colombo and beach properties on the East and West Coast of Sri Lanka.

Our vision is to become the model plantation company in the world through innovation, diversification and quality.

Malwatte Valley Plantations PLC is committed to achieving excellence and high-quality standards in every sphere of activity, by optimizing productivity and developing its employees.

We will become an increasingly profitable, stable and growth-oriented model plantation company, securing an acceptable return on investment whilst affording the highest priority for the environment and social needs.
